Baltimore Biomass is a project of Sustainable Urban Infrastructures, Inc., a Maryland registered non-profit corporation. Although SUI is small, we have very big ideas, and we are making them happen. We started SUI because we found that many groups in the area used all the right "buzz words" like green, eco friendly and sustainable but they were often talking the talk more than walking the walk. Our business model calls for real sustainability and since we launched the Baltimore Biomass project in September of 2008 we are already 100 percent finically sustainable. That means that with out donations or grants we will continue to operate Baltimore Biomass as we are now without ever worrying about having our funding disappear with the next grant cycle or a down turn in donations. The bottom line is that the Baltimore Biomass project pays for itself and will continue to do so well into the future. All of that being said, we are not at all satisfied with what we have achieved so far. We know that we can do so much more, and the simple truth is, that the more project money we raise, the faster we can effect big changes in the Baltimore region. Please consider donating a few dollars today and help us reduce Co2 emissions and bring greater energy independence to all Baltimoreans. Thanks for you help, George L Peters Jr - President -SUI |
